Pilot's Alphabet

If you ever got befuddled by the conversation between Air Traffic Controller and the pilot, and wondered what it meant, it is just that they use different kind of alphabet so that the person on the other hand can listen it carefully without errors. Pronunciation of every letter is replaced by a word sounding uniquely in whole set.

A - Alpha
B - Bravo
C - Charlie
D - Delta
E - Echo
F - Foxtrot
G - Golf
H - Hotel
I - India
J - Juliet
K - Kilo
L - Lima
M - Mike
N - November
O - Oscar
P - Papa
Q - Quebec
R - Romeo
S - Sierra
T - Tango
U - Uniform
V - Victor
W - Whiskey
X - X ray
Y - Yankee
Z - Zulu

That applies to numbers also.

1 - One
2 - Two
3 - Tree
4 - Four
5 - Fife
6 - Six
7 - Seven
8 - Eight
9 - Niner
0 - Zero

Here goes nothing.

It was a huge achievement for Boeing. Competitors were nowhere near to beat it. Aircraft use double-deck configuration and uses four engines. This is something which had a main role in the decrement of its use. Just like Airbus A380, 747 is also fuel hungry. But unlike A380, it is a bi
