Concorde, a supersonic jet aircraft which almost all the aviation enthusiasts crave to travel on was sadly discontinued on 24th October, 2003. It started its commercial journey 21st January, 1976 even though its test flight was conducted on 2nd March, 1969. Air France Concorde taking off This legendary airliner was able to do 2.04 Mach at FL600. Only 20 such planes were manufactured by British Aircraft Corporation and Sud Aviation. Being expensive, mainly 2 commercial airline companies; British Airways and Air France were operating Concorde. Many people have only one question to ask: If this plane was able to do London to New York in 3 hours 20 minutes in the 70s where other planes were taking almost double of its flight time, why it was discontinued from the service?
